A few words and general comments about outsourcing

I am sure that a lot of of you have wondered at least once a few times about outsourcing. Could you introduce it in the firm? What are the advantages?Outsourcing allows to transfer some activities to a third party in order that that the company is able to focus on its key activities. Below is a very plain example that will enable to understand how that works: company that operates in the area of event management and conferences does not need to posses the IT department. IT outsourcing firm would not only be sufficient, but possibly even superrior in such case. The prime target is cost cut – it is cheaper to outsource IT specialists, than to own the IT department in the enterprise. Nonetheless, we should keep in mind that this is a very streamlined illustration.
Second, outsourcing allows you to concentrate on the key activities of your firm.For instance, if the development of updated application would be outsourced, we can focus on key areas, like acquiring new clients.

There are also many tinier profits such as possessing an access to a group of professionals that we could not afford to hire otherwise as our employee. At the same time, this allows to enhance the quality of services.
At the end it is worth noticing that the word “outsourcing” has become an umbrella term. Not everything which is transferred to a third party can be considered as outsourced. For example – service known as "managed services".

Although it can be often considered as some kind of outsourcing, this term emphasises business purpose, that goes far beyond the cost savings. Therefore, it is worth to remember, that even though outsourcing is a very broad concept, not everything can belong to that “category”.
