Brief tale how my city has changed within a few months

Three years ago I was living for a few months in London. Finally, due to various reasons, made a decision to return to my family city. I was convinced that after coming back I will find my town exactly as I left it. However, this assumption so wrong. Despite the fact that nothing important has happened in the city and everything was the same at first glance, I traced some minor changes.

First of all, custom bicycles became very attractive. Almost all of my colleagues were talking about where and how you might design your own bike. In the morning you might see tons of people that were travelling to schools on beautiful bicycles. I should say that I really liked that change, as I always was thinking about my town to be too lazy. At this moment, Because of the fact that owing custom single speed bikes became to be really attractive, most of my colleagues as well as family members stopped to use cars and started to use their own bicycles, read more . I don’t even need to explain how positive effect it has on environment. Thanks to this, my city would be even more beautiful.

Second, I have seen that many guys take coffee to take away. I could see many young guys with cups of coffee on the street. On the one hand, it is not so great for environment as this paper and plastic cups were possibly disposable. On the other hand, I considered it as a positive thing as it meant that individuals in my city were getting richer. Why do I believe in that? If you have not enoughmoney, you simply don’t buy drinks to take away. Most probably you would rather drink them at home or bring your own hot drink prepared at home.

Furthermore, I have realized that people seemed to be nicer. They were looking at each other on the street, discussing with each other on train and so on. When I asked foreigner about something, an answer was always extremely polite. That weird women that works at the post office started to be much nicer than before. She even began to smile. Nonetheless, I have to admit 1 thing. I still don’t know if all those small things have actually changed, or if I was homesick so badly, that now I see it in much more positive light.
